Screen Porch Systems Posts Modular three piece posts and solid one piece posts are crafted from solid generously dimensioned cedar. Modular posts are used in outside corners or against the house but can also be used for added header-beam support. Solid Support posts are visually less intrusive and support the header in shorter spans. Doors You may choose single or double cedar doors which accept all the same architectural options that are available for wall panels. Single. Measuring 36", this door can be hinged to swing in or out. Included are three brass butt hinges. The single door is not pre-hung before installation. Double. It is pre-hung and includes strap hinges and upper and lower brass side bolts. These French doors only swing outward. Hardware. Doors are available with key entry lock sets with a round, bright brass knob, or with a lever handle in a dark oil-bronze or bright brass fnish. Wall panels and inserts Wall panels measuring 1½" thick are available in three standard widths and seven heights. Special width panels are available. Window inserts can be removed in minutes and replaced with screens. Upper and lower openings in the wall panels accommodate screens and storm glass that install from the inside while architectural trims, balusters, and panels install from the outside. Architectural inserts. These are designed to match traditional designs and, are factory assem- bled with stainless steel fasteners. Finish Natural. Left to age, non coated cedar will develop a driftwood patina. It should initially be wet down with a hose and allowed to dry several times to uniformly extract tannin to the surface. Paints. Standard choices include White, Cream White and Cedartone wood stain. Two Tone. Painted white exterior and wood stained interior.
