Components for Vixen Hill shutters are air dried for dimensional stability and milled in Vixen Hill's factory from raw cedar cants for best wood grain. The joinery that holds the shutter together is blind pocket mortise & tenon with hardwood pegging for strong joints. Metal fasteners and glues are not used to hold the shutters together. Vixen Hill has redefined custom shutters using proven designs with insect/rot-resistant cedar. Order the exact sizes you need in one of over thirty styles and historically accurate configurations. Painting is also available. Vixen Hill uses Sherwin Williams finishes, visit any store and pick your color or select from the online color pallet.
